INNOVATION AT THE SERVICE OF WELL AGING
Dehydration is common among elderly people. It is found to be persistent both at home and in nursing homes. It is often associated with poor health outcomes such as: impaired cognition, increased risk of falls, low blood pressure, increased hospitalization and mortality. In fact, dehydration is one of the ten most frequent reasons for hospital admission of patients aged 65 and over. Currently, caregivers use a paper-based hydration monitoring system which is time consuming, not scalable or reliable.
Auxivia has developed the first medical service based on smart drinking glasses which provide a reliable and automated hydration monitoring and traceability system to nursing homes and homecare services.
